How to Make Marbleized Easter Eggs with Natural Dyes March 21 2015

What You'll Need:

Step 1 Boil eggs and chill. Or, to keep eggs, pierce bottom of each egg, and work out contents and rinse.
Step 2 Empty each color packet in a bowl and add a few drops of water. Mix with small brushes from kit. Leave for a few minutes and stir again to be sure all the pigment has dissolved.

Step 3 Add 1/2 cup water, or more for lighter shades. Add 2 tablespoons vinegar to cabbage blue and radish purple only (optional).

Place egg in bowl and gently rotate with spoon until egg turns desired color. Remove and dab with paper towel to soak up excess liquid. Let eggs dry.

Step 4 Add 1 tablespoon oil to dye mixes. Run a fork through to make swirls.
Step 5 Put dried dyed egg in oil mix and turn. Remove.
Step 6 Gently pat egg with a paper towel and let dry.
