STRAW BLOWN ART - A DIY WITH GLOB NATURAL PAINTS June 21 2015

Now that school is out, we've got your fun and easy outdoor creative activity that promises surprising results. Get ready to get a little messy and have a blast with aromatic, non-toxic paints by Glob!

Supplies

  • Glob Paint Kit
  • Watercolor paper
  • Painters tape
  • Straw
  • Board (optional surface)

1. Prep your project

Tape your watercolor paper down using painters tape (this is easily removed and gives your masterpiece a nice finished edge in the end!).

Following the instructions, mix your Glob Paints together (hint: for this project, the more water the better, you want your paint very liquid).

2. Drop the paint

Kids love this part! Simply drip paint at random all over the page.

Use a variety of colors an drop sizes, to allow for natural blending, and lovely tones.

Enjoy the scent of the fruity colors!

3. Blow!

Using any old straw, simply blow air right above and down onto the paint. Experiment with how far away and how close you blow, as well as the strength of the air pushing onto the paper. Expect squeals of delight from your artists.

Watching the paint splatter and move is loads of fun!

 4. Let it dry

The hardest part of the project is waiting for it to dry!

Once the liquid is gone, you can remove your painters tape and enjoy your finished product. Rest it on a shelf, or mat and frame it for a wonderful finished look.
